2012 Grade School Camp

Option 1: Resident camper w/ 5 meals $165

Camp Instruction
The camp will be divided into two age groups. The 6th-9th grade group will allow the athlete to play and compete against other beginning and intermediate players of their own age, while continuing to challenge the more developed player with appropriate instruction and competi-tion. Individual skill competitions will be held. Emphasis will be on basic skill development and team concepts. The elementary group (3rd-5th grade) is geared for the young player with limited experience. Special attention is given to the development of basic skills as well as team concepts. Individual skill competitions will be held. Morning sessions focus on fundamentals, afternoon sessions will be devoted to skill contests and competitions, and evening sessions will be comprised of team games.

What to Pack

  • Playing clothes/Casual clothing
  • Swim suit
  • Linens (blanket, sheets, pillow, or sleeping bag Pajamas, underwear, toiletry, and personal items
  • Spending money (Camp store, vending machine, order pizza.)
  • Alarm clock

Registration

  • Registration for the camps will be accepted up to and including the day camp begins.
  • ON-SITE registration will take place at Bowen Hall on the PSU campus 1507 S. Joplin.
  • Registration will start Thursday, June 21st from 12:00-1:00. All campers need to come dressed and ready for activity.

Day 1 Thursday:
Noon-1:00 - Registration
1:30-5:15 - Camp activities
5:30-6:30 - Dinner (all campers)
7:00-8:45 - Camp Activities

Day 2 Friday:
7:45-8:30 - Breakfast (Residents only)
8:30-11:30 - Camp activities
12:00-1:30 - Lunch (all campers)
2:00-5:15 - Camp activities
5:30-6:30 - Dinner (all campers)
7:00-8:45 - Camp activities

Day 3 Saturday:
7:45-8:30 - Breakfast (Residents only)
8:30-11:00 - Camp Activities
11:-00-Noon - Awards ceremony
Noon — Camp Concludes
